New Character Still Cuts of Warrior Lee Min Ho for ‘Faith’

Lee Min Ho is showing off his ‘warrior’ side in new character still cuts.
The character still cuts released on July 12 for Lee Min Ho’s upcoming SBS drama, Faith, are winning praise from fans for the actor’s remarkable transformation.

Suited up in full Goryeo armor, curly hair swept to one side and with his sword in hand, fans are counting down the days to see the warrior in full action when the television drama premieres.

In the drama, Lee Min Ho plays Choi Young the general of the army unit which protects the king.

But after becoming disenchanted with the political aspect of his job, he leaves to become a free spirit before coming across Yoo Eun Soo (Kim Hee Sun) from the modern age.

A source close to the drama production dished on Lee Min Ho saying, “Even in the short resting period in between shooting, Lee Min Ho continues to steadily look over his lines to really immerse himself into the Choi Young character and to not show a typecast character but display a wide range of three dimensional acting.”

Faith will premiere on August 13.

Lee Min Ho Turns into Korean Swordsman in New Still Cuts for “Faith”

In the latest still cuts for Lee Min Ho’s upcoming TV drama series, “Faith,” the former “City Hunter” transformed into a Koryo-era swordsman, Choi Young.

The still shots released on July 12 show the star actor dressed in the traditional swordsman uniform from the Koryo-era, with a much longer hairstyle that gives him a completely new look. It looks like he’s shed some weight for the drama, where he will appear alongside Kim Hee Sun, but his charismatic “glare” still seems to be fully intact, regardless of his changed style.

“Despite the short break time, Lee Min Ho has been fully absorbed with the character Choi Young, constantly going over the script and showing high-level acting. He’s an experienced actor, so we’re expecting even more from him moving forward,” a staff member was quoted as saying.

“Faith” is a fantasy action drama series based on a time-traveling storyline, where the plastic surgeon Yoo Eun Soo (played by Kim Hee Sun) flies back in time to treat the King. The first episode is set to air on August 13.

"Faith" Lee Min-ho looks good in a warriors suit of armor

Lee Min-ho has become the perfect Koryo warrior.
He takes on the role of Choi Yeong in the new SBS drama "Faith" which is coming soon in August.
In the still cuts, Lee Min-ho is wearing an armored suit with long hair coming down past his shoulders and clearly worthy of being a troop general. The image of Lee Min-ho with a resolute look on his face and a saber in his hand gives off an aura.

As captain of the Woo Dal-chi troops, he wants to be free and away from the muddy politics but after he meets female vet Yoo Eun-soo (Kim Hee-seon) from the modern times, he gets to support King Gong-min (Ryoo Deok-hwan) more.
A spokesperson said, "Despite the short amount of time he's had, Lee Min-ho has been captured in the character of Choi Yeong and his lines. His experience from previous works has built anticipation for him in the future".
Meanwhile, "Faith" is a fantasy mellow drama about the romance between an ancient times warrior and a modern day vet and the process of making King Gong-min (Ryoo Deok-hwan) a real king. To be aired on the 13th of August.
