In the October 8 broadcast of SBS′ Faith, Choi Young (Lee Min Ho) sought out Eun Soo (Kim Hee Sun) after she had agreed to marry Deok Heung (Park Yoon Jae) and spilled out his emotions.
To Eun Soo, who made the decision in order to save Choi Young′s life, Choi Young said, "You′ll be returning [to your own time] soon, but I can′t let you stay next to a fool like that for the rest of your time here. Can′t you stay by my side?"
He then drew Eun Soo into an embrace, saying, "What should I do with this foolish girl," and Eun Soo calmly buried her head in his shoulder, showing how much she longed for his love.
When Eun Soo announced she would be breaking off the marriage, Deok Heung threatened her, this time with Gong Min′s (Ryu Deok Hwan) life. He then tried to rush through the marriage ceremony, but Choi Young rushed up to Eun Soo′s side and kissed her for the first time.
After the broadcast, viewers commented, "I could feel the pain Choi Young was going through when he said they should give up after realizing nothing about Eun Soo was in the diary," "The first kiss between the couple! I screamed; I′ve been waiting for this for such a long time" and "I could see how full Choi Young′s heart was of Eun Soo through this episode."
Gi Chul (Yoo Oh Sung), who wanted Gong Min to be the officiator at Deok Heung and Eun Soo′s wedding, added to the tension by saying, "no wedding, no need for an officiator," implying he would attack the village Gong Min and No Guk (Park Se Young) live in.
